About Zulu Challenge
A family-first tethered obstacle series. Twelve years of Canadian events.
The mission
Zulu Challenge is built so the people you bring can take part together. Adults, kids, and dogs each have a course. No one is written out of the day because they are not an elite athlete. Solo adult entries are welcome.
How tethering works
On the adult course, people are tethered. The course is 5 km with 24 obstacles. The published idea is simple: you stay connected while you move through the obstacles. The length of the tether, who you are paired with, and the step-by-step briefing are not published on this site. [REPLACE] Details coming soon.
The courses
Adults are $95. Kids, ages 3 to 13, cover 2 to 4 km and cost $50 to $60 depending on age band. K9 is $95 and a harness is required. Zulu describes the K9 course as Canada's only K9 obstacle event. Read Adults, Kids, and K9 for the course pages. Kamloops has named all three for 2027. Other cities still list categories as TBA.
Safety
On event day, follow the marshals and the briefing for your wave. A guardian is responsible for a child. The dog's owner is responsible for the dog. A written safety plan, medical staffing, and course-cut rules are not published. [REPLACE] Details coming soon.
